Jeff + Lauren Go To The UK | Part Six | Edinburgh

From Bamburgh castle, we continued onward to Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a pretty amazing city. We got there at dusk so we only walked around for an hour or two that night, exploring the grounds around the Edinburgh castle, through the cemetery, and the nearby streets in town. We found a bite to eat and then headed to The Beer Kitchen by Innis & Gunn for some local (delicious) drinks. We enjoyed ourselves and the drinks there so much that one drink turned into two and then three.. We eventually headed back to our AirBNB steal of a deal for the night and woke up early the next morning to explore the city more. We explored around Edinburgh castle some more, went through the Scottish National Galle

Jeff + Lauren Go To The UK | Part Five | Alnwick + Bamburgh Castle

After saying goodbye to the family in Leeds, Jeff + I got into our little rental car with my dad and we headed North to Alnwick Castle. Alnwick Castle was a big one for me to see because it was the castle in many scenes from Harry Potter #youreawizardharry. Remember when Harry, Ron, and Hermione were saying "Up. Up. UPPP!" while first trying to cast their broom to fly? That was just one of the many scenes Alnwick was shot in the HP movies. It was pretty awesome to explore the castle (and pretend I was a Weasley, roaming around the Hogwarts grounds...) The Captain Morgan's hat was an inside joke between Jeff and my cousins, but basically, he had to wear it everywhere we went to keep the joke

Lori + Scott | The Common + YEG River Valley Engagement Session

I've known Scott since my bookworm + volleyball playing days of high-school, back at good ol' St. Albert High. I haven't seen him in quite a few years, but when I heard that him + Lori got engaged and wanted to have me capture their engagement and wedding, I was thrilled! Scott + Lori met on a (very successful) blind date at The Common, so it was only fitting that we started their engagement session cozy-ing up in a booth with some drinks, back where it all started. After hanging out at The Common for a while, we took a (brisk) stroll down by the river among the beautiful fall colours in YEG. It was such a pleasure being around these two; the session was filled with nothing but smiles, gigg

Jasper Mountain Engagement | Hayley + Ian

Any chance to get to the mountains (especially for a photo shoot) is an opportunity I will never refuse. Hayley + Ian love escaping to the mountains and had their hearts set on a fall engagement session in Jasper. So to Jasper we went! We started at Pyramid Lake, explored the island for a bit, hung out in the sun, shared some giggles, and captured some fantastic memories of these two lovebirds! After exploring Pyramid Lake Island, we headed to Old Fort Point to do a little hiking among the Big-Horned Sheep. Now booking 2017 weddings!
