Christmas with our furry famjam

This Christmas was the first holiday season in YEARS where we've actually been all together at home!! Typically the dogs are in a kennel and we are out of the country, or out of town visiting family... but not this year! This Christmas we had work off, we were in town, and we had the whole weekend to just stay in our PJs, drink too much Baileys in coffee, eat too many home baked goods, and just BE in our home with each other + our fur babies.

It was AWESOME! {And naturally, being a photographer, I had to keep my camera by my side all day to capture some memories from our lazy Christmas stay-cation.} We played with the dogs in our yard and then later pulled our mattress to the floor in our TV room so that we could all snuggle together while watching The Godfather trilogy.

WARNING: many photos of adorable dogs posted below.

A friend of ours mentioned Studio Bloom on 124 street was selling locally made + unique dogs collars by Koko & Coco, so we surprised the pooches with a funky new collar each!

We made the BEST vegan meal I think we've ever made for our scrumptious Christmas dinner. It was a portobello mushroom, thyme, rosemary, onion, chestnut, pecan, breadcrumb concoction, wrapped in a pastry shell and served with dijon mashed potatoes and baked brussel sprouts. YUM! {If you want the recipe you can find it here.}

We were so full + sleepy after dinner that we headed back to the mattress and continued watching The Godfather...and napped for a few hours...

After the Christmas weekend, the holiday continued with some much needed quality time with Jeff's family!

We were so fortunate to have such a relaxing, fun, loving holiday with each other and our family. It's times like these that make me extra thankful + grateful for everything we have in life. This amazing country, our family and friends, a roof over our heads, warm meals, furry + healthy pups, awesome clients, a job I LOVE, and each other to spend the rest of our lives covered in dog drool + hair together (haha).

My last Christmas as a Voisin -- I'm SO excited for what 2017 will bring!

Here's to an awesome new year!!
