After saying goodbye to the family in Leeds, Jeff + I got into our little rental car with my dad and we headed North to Alnwick Castle.
Alnwick Castle was a big one for me to see because it was the castle in many scenes from Harry Potter #youreawizardharry. Remember when Harry, Ron, and Hermione were saying "Up. Up. UPPP!" while first trying to cast their broom to fly? That was just one of the many scenes Alnwick was shot in the HP movies. It was pretty awesome to explore the castle (and pretend I was a Weasley, roaming around the Hogwarts grounds...)
The Captain Morgan's hat was an inside joke between Jeff and my cousins, but basically, he had to wear it everywhere we went to keep the joke going....so here's Jeff, striking his Captain Morgan pose in front of the castle!
After spending a few hours at Alnwick Castle, we got back in the car and continued north to Bamburgh Castle. This castle was incredible! Right off the beach, you can get a great view of this epic building from miles away!
It was such a sunny, beautiful day. It was hard to leave the soft, sandy, dune beach and ocean breeze.
