Q: We've looked through your portfolio & feel your style is a match to how we envision our wedding photos, what do we do next to secure you for our wedding date?

A: Finding a photographer that suits not only your style, but your personality, is key. You're going to be spending almost your entire wedding day with your photographer so A) it's super great to find someone you get along with really well, and B) it's even more important to find a photographer who suits YOU as a couple and that captures photographs in the style that you want your wedding photos to be. If you feel that I'm that photographer for you -- that's fantastic & I'm super stoked to hear from you!! Your first step would be to head to my contact page and fill out the form. I'll provide you with more information, we'll discuss details together, and then we'll preferably book a date to all meet in person (if you don't live within the Edmonton area, a Zoom/Skype/Facetime meeting works great). Once we meet and decide 100% that we're a great fit, I'll get you to read & sign a contract & pay a 30% non-refundable retainer. You wedding date is then officially booked!

Q: How long will it take for us to receive our wedding photos?

A: My contract states that it may take up to 12 weeks for photo delivery, however I strive to keep my average delivery around 4 weeks.

Q:  Do we have to use the complimentary engagement session included in our wedding package? Can we exchange the engagement session for additional wedding photography time or a different photo session?

A: I love providing complimentary engagement sessions as a way for us to not only get better acquainted, but also to learn how to work together before your wedding day. A lot of people haven’t had many, if any, photo sessions together so sometimes having your picture taken can feel a little awkward. At our engagement session together I will get a feel of who you are as a couple, and you will both get a feel for how I work, which will allow you to be more comfortable and natural in front of a camera. After your engagement session, the wedding day will be a breeze for you both and you’ll really be able to relax and enjoy your wedding day! Photos from your engagement session are also super great to use on wedding invitations, in a guest book, slideshow, or even on tables for your wedding decor.

For these reasons, the complimentary engagement session is not transferable. Choosing to pass on this session is totally your call, but removing the engagement session from your wedding photography package will not change the package price, and you cannot substitute the engagement session for additional wedding photography hours, or for an alternate session at a later date.

Q: We're a bit stuck on how to schedule our wedding day timeline, and when we'd like you to start and end your time with us. Do you help plan this with us?

A: Once you confirm your wedding booking, I will email you a 'Wedding Day Advice' booklet, as well as a 'Wedding Day Timeline' for you to fill out and send back to me before the wedding day. The Timeline I send you has a breakdown of how the day might go (from a photography stand point), and how much time to allow for photos throughout the day. If you ever have any questions while filling it out, shoot me an email and I'll assist you in any way I can.

Q: We've received our digital files from our engagement session/wedding. Now what?

A: Since everything is so digital nowadays, it can be super easy to forget to actually USE your digital files and print something. I believe that there is so much value in getting your files off of a USB or computer, and printing physical copies that you can frame or have put in a lovely album or photo book -- which is why I include full printing rights with all of my wedding packages, to encourage you to print as many images as you like, not only for yourselves, but for your family members or friends!
